Files not showing up on Panel SD card

I finally tried the sd card reader on the panel due. The panel acknowledged the card but no files showed up. I just saved a gcode file to the card and inserted it. Should it be saved in a certain way. Any help is appreciated.

Do you have the ribbon cable connected between PanelDue and the Duet? If so, how long is the cable?

Yes there is a ribbon cable connected. the cable is 30cm long. Should I go shorter?

30cm is usually OK.
In what way does PanelDue acknowledge the SD card?

It lets me switch from SD 0 to SD 1 only the files in 0 show up

What Duet firmware version and PanelDue firmware version are you running?

Duet Firmware is 1.18.1 and the PanelDue is 1.15c

It might be worth reformatting the SD card to FAT32 in case it's currently in a format that the firmware doesn't understand.
