Just got a new Duet 3 mini5 + with a new meanwell RS 450w 24v. Motor, fan, bl-touch ,all works as expected, but as soon as I activate the extruder heater connected to out1 pin the entire system will shutdown, power supply shutdown as well. The heater cartridge is a no-name 24v 40w , also new. I've order 2 of those ,and with both, the system react the same way. No warning is sent to the console.

Using a multimeter cartridge resistance read 16.2 ohms
Power supply read 24.8v on the console
      What am I missing ?

      Thank you everyone

Sounds like a short somewhere. Possibly at the hotend assembly itself, possibly inside of the cartridge.

Check your wiring very carefully. Replace the cheap no name with a name brand one. What you save in pennies you spend in time.

@aleblanc Try measuring the heating element resistance at the connector that attaches to the Duet 3 mini5+.

@generisi at the base of the connector(attached to the board), I can read 15.5 ohms

Seems about right for a 40w 24v cartridge.

I needed to set the correct C value in the heater section. Solved...
