on my Duet3D 6HC I need more free capacity for gcode files. I feel here are about 150 MB available on the original 16GB SD card via the web interface. How can I increase the space?

@romeofox you're best off wiping the card and starting a fresh. Make sure you back everything up.
Just copy your files off, format it to get the full 16 GB and then put your files back.
The original card comes prepared for SBC mode so has a small boot partition and the rest setup for a pi.

Owns various duet boards and is the main wiki maintainer for the Teamgloomy LPC/STM32 port of RRF. Assume I'm running whatever the latest beta/stable build is

That was exactly the problem. Thank you!

I also replaced the original Sandisk ultra with the faster extreme, which resulted in a significant jump in upload speed. It was worth it for that alone.
