      @arisoy

What you are seeing is not normal.

There must be something wrong with your configuration or perhaps wiring.

@fcwilt But i'm printing and it works fine! What can be wrong in the configuration or wiring?

          Hard to say.

Please copy-and-paste your config and homing files using the </> tag - one per file.

          Thanks.

A lot. I think of two gcodes in your config.g which might result in the behaviour you describe:

M558: is the dive height ("H") properly set?
G31: the probe offset ("Z") might be too low

Don't know what kind of probe you have - depending on that you might use two macros as well: deployprobe.g and retractprobe.g.

To put things right, you should test the function of the probe at a safe location on your bed first, before you jump right into bed levelling.

@infiniteloop @fcwilt I'm using a bltouch for z probe. I hommit to mention that after the bed moves up a little. The true bed leveling process continue and everything works fine. But because of that first move the probe is really close to the bed. And if the bed is not already horizontal the probe touches it and the process stops.

Here you can find my files :

In your homeall.g you have this:

                G1 H2 Z5 F6000

Change the Z5 to Z10 and report back the behavior with this new setting.

For one, you can increment the dive height. Another thing to do is to add a move to bed.g, ahead of the probing with G30. Something like
                  G1 X5 Y10 Z20 F2000
This would go to the first point to probe and lower the bed 20 mm from 0, regardless what initial Z-height you start with.

@infiniteloop Adding the line "G1 X5 Y10 Z20 F2000" before the G30 in the bed.g make my bed going down first. Then it goes up fast at the same time of the carriage moves in x/y to the first point.

So nothing really changed except i have a new mouvement before the problem occured.

With the bed is going more down when i home the z. But nothing changed with true bed leveling.

                      Thanks.

You can put back the Z5.

Now change the H2 parameter in the M558 command to H5. You will have to re-boot to get the config.g to be loaded again.

Let us know the behavior with this change.

                      Thanks.

Now change the H2 parameter in the G31 command to H5.

I don't find where is this command with H2.

Now change the H2 parameter in the G31 command to H5.

I don't find where is this command with H2.

                          It's here?

Sorry my bad. It is in the M558. Trusted to my memory - I shouldn't do that.

@fcwilt The paramater was already H5 so I tried H2 But no change. I set it back to H5.

Let's try the suggestion posted previously.

Add G90 G1 X155 Y150 Z10 before the set of three G30 commands in your bed.g file and report the behavior.

                                Thanks.

@fcwilt I already did it. And after this positioning command "G90 G1 X155 Y150 Z10" the bed did a fast move up while the bltouch is going to the first probe point then wait for the probe to be in the good place and finally did the probing work.

For one, you can increment the dive height.

I don't know how to do that. Can you tell me please.

Look at my first post in this thread.

Please change the Z10 to Z20 and see how that affects the behavior.

@fcwilt Ok so i homed all axis and then i take a video from what happened.

I started the video and just after i send the G32 command.

As you can see at first the bed moves up. I don't want that at all. I want the probe to go at his place first and then the bed can moves up.

@arisoy Split the G1 movement in two:

                                          1. Move X/Y to whatever point you want
                                          2. Lower Z to 10 or 20 mm

Possibly you can omit Z completely - at the moment, I can't verify that …

I went and watched my printer and it does what yours is doing. That initial Z movement prior to the first probe has never caused me any issues.

You could adjust the initial G1 to move to the first probe XY point.
