      Hello,

      I ran into an issue after setting up a duet 3 mini 5 for the first time.

      After the PID autotuning was done everything looked normal.

      heater2.png
      When starting a print it heats up and starts, but after the purge line and skirt are printed an error occurs;
      "Error: Heater 0 fault: exceeded allowed temperature excursion: target 220.0°C actual 248.8°C

      heaters1.png

      The temperature started rising significantly (up to 250°c, setpoint was 200°c) and the printer made an emergency stop.

      How is this possible?
      Tried it on many files, all same problem.

      Heres my config.g file for mij setup

        @bobzetels This is almost certainly a wiring issue. The jagged peaks and troughs in the thermistor readings show that the thermistor is failing, there's a loose connector, or it is picking up interference from something else. It's impossible for the real temperature to change that quickly.

          @droftarts thanks for the respons.

          I changed to a brand new E3D thermistor for the Vulcano hotend i have installed, without any luck.

          In the end I restarted from a clean duet config using the RRF configurator and this solved the problem.

          I have no idea what the exact problem was, probably some fault in de config.
