Homing with no microswitch

Hi,
Is there a way to make duetwifi homing without having X and Y switches? I mean…when you call G28, after the print head hit the minima of the axis just before the specific motor is skipping steps this should stop. And there is the home position of that specific axis. I don't have any ideas now how this can be done. I'm just asking and it will be cool to have this option.
