Defective Part/Warranty Claim?

Hello, I was directed here from MatterHackers support to gain approval for an exchange. We are running 2 Modix Big 60 V3 machines. In August 2021, we purchased 2 Duet3D Duet 2 Ethernet 3D Printer Controller Boards to replace the wifi controllers that came with the machines. Last week during a print, the machine stopped and gave the following error: "Short-to-ground reported by driver(s) 2". When attempting to move the bed and home the machine, we were greeting with a sound similar to crunching metal. Lower drive belts were removed to attempt to raise/lower the bed manually. No issue, it moves fine. The next step was to replace the ethernet controller with the original wifi controller. After replacement, the machine started up with no issue. We've calibrated the machine and ran test prints and everything looks good. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

It does sound like the driver has failed, and swapping to the other board confirms that the config, wiring, and motors are correct and functional.
