      Is it possible t have DWC play a sound (M300) while paneldue is attached?
      I need a louder sound than Paneldue can produce.

          I don't see how it would be possible for DWC to provide a beep from an M300 call.
          Browsers don't typically have hardware access to the pc without some sort of add-in.
          However there's nothing stopping you using an output to control a really driven piezo buzzer, siren, flashing lights or whatever.

            @owend I read somewhere (i could interpret wrong) that if a paneldue is attached DWC does not make a sound. but without Paneldue installed it does with the M300 ?

            "Play beep sound, use to notify events like the end of printing. If an LCD device is attached to RepRapFirmware, a sound is played via the add-on touch screen control panel. Else the web interface will play a beep sound."

            found the 'somewhere':

              I stand corrected.
              Seems there's a javascript audio API for doing beep sounds.

                @owend well, unfortunately only through paneldue when installed, would be nice if it was an option, or both to make it even more audible.

                  @yao Bump!

                  Definitely think this is a good idea! I have my printers in the garage, so have a Panel Due for inteacting with them in there, but tend to 'monitor' them via DWC from the house. Currently I have resorted to using a 'tuned' move which hits the midband resonance of the steppers to make a short tune which can usually be heard from afar, but this does feel a bit janky... 😛

                  This might also appease some of the comments that the small PanelDue buzzer isn't loud enough for their needs
