Mesh Compensation Points - spacing averaging
-
I wish defining mesh compensation points was like this
Input X,Y position for the 4 corners, of the bed to define limits than, set number of probing points between those corners.. like 5 x5 and it would average the spacing automatically. this would let me cover a larger portion of the bed surface. whereas currently when I set spacing, often a large amount is unreachable due to probe offset from nozzle. -
@adamfilip you can already do that with either the P or S value in M557 (can't remember which).
You set the min and max probe points and then how many points you want in between. RRF does the rest. -
@jay_s_uk my bad, thanks for poiting that out

P sets the number of points and it figures out the spacing for you.
S sets the spacing and it's up to you to fit the number of points into the space you have available.
Using P is probably the easiest way to do it.

@phaedrux would be nice if when you used the define mesh parameters. that you could choose number of points. and not just spacing
