Can't Access Chat Messages

Hi. Whenever I try to view a chat message another user sent me, I get an error saying I do not have enough privileges. How do I fix this error message?

You do not have enough privileges for this action."

@jith ok i had to create a test account to work out whats happening. The forum doe snot allow chat for unverified accounts (i.e accounts where you have not added an email address and verified it.
