I tried two different CAN cables and the expansion board was not recognized. The last cable used is this https://a.co/d/e9mazT3
The main board Duet3D 6HC has the latest firmware RRF 3.4.2 I tried to send M115 B1 but it returned
Error: M115: Response timeout: CAN addr 1, req type 6024, RID=13
The expansion's status led was never on. The only led light I see are the 4 lights for the power. Is there a way to connect it? or is it a defective expansion? an am I missing something?

@ghazi one possibility is that it has an old bootloader installed and a combination of supply voltage and temperature is making it slow to start up. You may be able to recover from this by leaving it powered up - for several hours if necessary - to see if it eventually connects. If it does, check the bootloader version using M122 B# (where # is the CAN address of the board), and if it is below 2.4 or "not available", immediately upgrade the bootloader as described at https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/RepRapFirmware/Updating_bootloader.

If after several hours the STATUS LED on the EXP3HC remains stubbornly off, please email warranty@duet3d.com and include a link to this thread in the email.
