Lite6 mounting on smart effector?
-
Hi,
Im trying to get a 2 in 1 out setup going and one of the recomendations is to use a lite6 rather than v6.
That in mind I just checked if the traditional horseshoe/groovemount would work with the 3 spare holes but it doesnt.
So before I start designing a custom groovemount that fits the smart effector does anyone have another (maybe simpler) suggestion on how to mount that?
Cheers

Not exactly but to get it to work you'll need to ensure (especially if you use the 3 holes to mount some sort of adaptor) it will have to transmit vertical forces through the centre of the smart effector for it to trigger.

Search for "v6 throat" on aliexpress and get the kind with a full 4.1mm bore. That's actually what the TL pics illustrate if you look closely.
I'll reply to your other thread when I'm at PC.

I Didnt consider that because of my high volume extrusion experiments i stopped using china heatbreaks. That makes things much easier.
I just looked through my spare parts but the only one that has a 4mm internal bore only has an m6 thread.

On your link, I mean the rightmost one labeled 4.1, yes. "41 without ptfe".
I just ordered:

FWIW I asked E3D a few weeks ago about sinks for the SE, and was told the V6 version will eventually be sold individually, but they had no plans to make a Lite version compatible with the SE.

Shame. Ill try china then.
