Folder Accidently Deleted

I went into my system folder on my SD card. Somehow the system folder got deleted. I formatted the SD card, so now I have nothing. It is the card that came with my new Duet 2 wifi. I am not sure which, and what to download and install. The firmware version names are confusing to me. Can I get what I need from you? Then I can use the tool to start configuration.

@mesacrash If you didn't have a configuration on the SD card, there's no real loss. For a guide on recreating the SD card, see https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/RepRapFirmware/SD_card#creating-the-file-structure

This is the config.g file that is usually supplied on the SD card: config.g. Download it, rename it to 'config.g' and put it in the 'sys' folder on the SD card. All it does is start networking on the Duet, but should make initial connecting easier.

Then follow the 'Getting connected' guide: https://docs.duet3d.com/en/How_to_guides/Getting_connected/Getting_connected_to_your_Duet
This explains how to connect via USB, and get the firmware version of your Duet. Use that to get the the matching firmware release from https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/releases and add the Duet Web Control (DWC) files from that to the SD card. Then you should be able to connect to DWC over your network.

@droftarts I got connected but I get an error saying, "the drive is unmounted". Then when I did a refresh it came back with, "Your Duet rejected the HTTP request"

Do you know what firmware version you have installed?
If you have a USB terminal connection like YAT you can send M115 to check.

You'll also need a WWW folder on the SD card that contains the web interface files. Those files will need to match the version of your firmware.

Once you determine your firmware version you can download the files here. https://github.com/Duet3D/DuetWebControl/releases

You want the DuetWebControl-SD.zip file and extract it into the WWW folder in the root of the SD card.

If you've lost your entire configuration it may be a good idea to create a fresh config set using the online tool as well.

@droftarts I am running 3.4.5 in a Duet 2 wifi. YAT talks to it through USB. This pic shows the card. Duet Files.jpg
I have the exact copy of this running a different machine as well.

Can you show the contents of the WWW folder?

Can you send M122 in YAT and copy and paste the results. Make sure you have your line endings set so we can see the full report.

@Phaedrux I am new to YAT and am embarrassed to say, I do not know how to set the line endings. Let me work on that.

@mesacrash The file structure in www looks correct. But the date of 9/30/22 on some of the files makes me think you're using an older version of DWC. Use this one from the 3.4.5 release: https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/releases/download/3.4.5/DuetWebControl-SD.zip

YATSet YAT to use <LF> as the end of line character. This will improve the readability of the messages coming from the Duet. Click "Text Settings" in the "Terminal Settings" and change "EOL sequence:" to <LF>. Click "OK" to close Text Settings. Click "OK" again to close Terminal Settings.

This is the bit we are interested in, and it says that the SD card interface is working correctly. If you send M20 P"0:/www/" what does it list?

I can also see that you have it connected to the access point, and have an IP address, so you have managed that part. Have you made any changes to the sys/config.g file? Did you use the one I posted earlier?

You mean the SD card is in the Duet? Make sure you have pushed it in far enough that it clicks in. Also, the card needs to be in when you turn on the Duet, or it will think there is no card mounted.

Please can you send M39 and then M20 P"0:/sys/"

@droftarts no, I meant your config is in there now. I put it in and it still wasn't working so I changed back temporarily, to test. This is in a custom that I recently decided to put the duet in. I had it working but, a few days ago I took the card out and put it in my PC, something happened in Explorer and when I re-opened it my sys file folder was empty. Now, here we are today.
