Toolboard1LC Filament Switch
-
Hi all,
I'm trying to wire up a simple filament detection switch on my toolboard1LC. The switch is wired so when there is filament present, the circuit is closed, and when there is no filament present, the circuit is open. It is wire to IO1 on the toolboard.
This is the M591 command in my config.g
M591 D0 P1 C"121.io1.in" S1
When running
M591 D0
this is the output I get.
'Simple filament sensor on pin 121.io1.in, enabled, output low when no filament, filament present: yes'
This does not change if the circuit is open or closed. I have tried connecting the switch to io1.in and ground, and I have tried connecting it to io1.in and +3.3v. Both produce the same output. Is there something I am missing here? I thought it needed to be connected to io1.in and ground.

@Surgikill I've just re-tested this and it works for me. What firmware versions do you have on the main board and on the tool board? Use commands M115 and M115 B121 to check.

@dc42 I think it was just the toolboard. That toolboard was being warrantied for an accelerometer issue. I replaced it with a new tool board and it works fine. Is there a way to add this information to the warranty form I filled out?

@Surgikill yes, I'll have that done.
