Been working on a 3D printer for quite a while but have put it down several times....

Now finally trying to finish but when I command the printer to move it sometimes moves very smoothly and sometimes makes a horrible noise. This is a CoreXY kinematic movement and

I'm making movements via the Duet3D web interface.

Even thought I thought I had bad cables and replaced them, I'm not so sure that in all the times trying to get the thing to move correctly that I might have not powered down the printer prior to unplugging stepper motor cables.

Is there a way to test the steppers so I can see if they might need to be replaced? For information, this is a Duet2.

      Thanks

You can disconnect the belts and move the motors individually to see if they move correctly. If they do, reconnect the belts and try these tests.
