I've just now gotten around to testing Input Shaper improvements in 3.5.0-RC1. There still seems to be some inconsistency when the firmware decides to apply Input Shaping. Here are my settings and the results. Some of this could be due to incorrectly configured parameters, so expert eyes would be appreciated. Explanation of IS debug output would also be helpful.

      m122 IS output
Moves shaped first try 46105, on retry 16367, too short 178055, wrong shape 317477, maybepossible 15496

      Machine Settings
      Machine: Voron V2.4R2 300mm CoreXY
      Controller: MB6HC + Toolboard 1.2
      Mesh Fadeout: M376 H2
      Input shaping: M593 P"zvdd" F50 S0.0
      Pressure Advance: M572 D0 S0.07
      Jerk: M566 X400.00 Y400.00 Z400.00 E4000.00
      Acceleration: M201 X5000.00 Y5000.00 Z350.00 E5000.00

      Print Settings
      Perimeter speeds: 60mm/s
      Acceleration in slicer: 4000mm/s²
Perimeter Generator: Arachne <- could this be a cause?

I tried 300mm/min jerk, but curves didn't print well. Even at 400mm/min, small holes vibrate. I'm also unsure how extruder settings play into IS. Need advice.

      Here are the results:

This image shows gaps where IS was not applied although similar geometry had no problem

Why are these moves too short? Would reducing the L parameter even more help?
      IMG_0020.JPG

same here. These sections are about 1cm wide and the narrow vertical section is about 6mm wide

But these short segments printed great?

I was really hopeful for the IS improvements in RC1, but I had a definite reduction in print quality and rolled back. Applying IS to short segments is very important in my eyes, but there are kinks to work out.

@CCS86 I've been doing some research and it seems Duet took the wrong approach. I just recently installed klipper on my duet 6hc and toolboard to fool around with until Duet figures out a new implementation. David hinted at reevaluating after 3.5 is officially released.

If you want an interesting read, look at Dmitry Butyugin's comment thread about 2/3 the way down.
