Simple question. I have a 6HC and a 3HC connected together. Is it possible to connect a 1LC into the 3HC, not for multiple toolheads, but just to simplify my wiring up to the print head?

On the documentation page for the 1LC it does not present that as a scenario, only mentions connecting it directly to the main board.

[speaking of not using a tool distribution board it says...] "It is also possible to connect a Toolboard directly to the Duet 3 Mainboard 6HC, 6XD, or Duet 3 Mini 5+."

I figure it should be possible, but before I make an assumption, I would like to know for certain.

      Thanks!

@alexanderhendrickson yes, its possible to connect it to the 3HC (or in between the two)

@alexanderhendrickson Yes, that is absolutely possible. The whole idea of the CAN bus is to daisy chain devices along it. Just get the termination correct.

Thanks, I've updated that to make it clear it can connect to any Duet 3 mainboard or expansion board.
