Heater Sensor Open/Short Error

Getting the "Heater 1 fault: failed to read sensor: sensor open circuit" error on my Duet 3 MB6HC with a 1LC toolboard. Both boards are connected and communicating properly. My M98 P"config" returns no errors, I tried both thermistor ports on my toolboard and tried 3 different thermistors, all of which I've had success with previously, and I couldn't get to work this time around. The heater is reading at 2000 C on DWC as well, but if I remember that's pretty standard for these faults.
Both boards are running 3.4.6. Any recommendations on what else to check? My config.g too

Your temperature sensor is defined as a PT1000, not a thermistor.

@droftarts My mistake, it is a PT1000 that's in place. I'm just using the term thermistor generally. However, that does discredit my testing of the other actual thermistors as I didn't change the type when checking. I'll have to recheck those and get back with the results

@JRCL @droftarts Other thermistors had no problems with the correct Y variable, so I likely have a broken or spliced thermistor. Time for a little tear-up!
