Duet 3 6HC + Duet3D Scanning Z Probe
-
Hello everyone
I would like to install Duet3D Scanning Z Probe using only the DUET 3 6HC motherboard, but to avoid making mistakes and since I understand that with the card the direct connection cable between the 2 is not supplied, where can I find a connection diagram thanks
-
@Lamerhouse-0 it uses CAN-FD so the connection is the same as a tool board like this https://docs.duet3d.com/Duet3D_hardware/Duet_3_family/Duet_3_Toolboard_1LC#can-connection-1
Just remember is uses 5V and not 24v -
@jay_s_uk thanks for the reply, do I always have to put the 120 ohm resistor?
-
@Lamerhouse-0 no, you need to bridge the solder point as detailed here https://docs.duet3d.com/Duet3D_hardware/Duet_3_family/Duet_3_Scanning_Z_Probe#terminating-resistor
-
@jay_s_uk ok thanks for all the information
-
@Lamerhouse-0 feel free to ask if you're stuck with anything else
see the wiring for the connector here https://forum.duet3d.com/post/331750
make sure you use the CAN1 connection on the 6HC, which is the RJ11 port -
@jay_s_uk thank you for the enormous help you're giving me, I'd like to take advantage of it again, to know now I'm using IR probe, can I leave that to do the 0 on the z-axis? and use the sensor probe to do the mesh plane check? THANK YOU

@Lamerhouse yes you can. Just set them up as separate probes
