Sleep Screen

Hello,

I'm trying to create a global sleep screen. One that will go to the sleep screen on an inactivity timer regardless of current printer operation. My understanding is the PanelDue has a "sleep" screen which goes black with a "Touch to wake up" text but it looks like this is only enabled if the printer is idle. Meaning this does not work during a running job. I would like this screen to enable at any time if there is no user input on the panel.

Is something like this possible? Or should it already do this any something is wrong with the firmware I'm running? Is there a way to customize the PanelDue behavior?

I believe the due firmware version is 3.5.0-rc8.

@bpatt paneldue behavior is mostly fixed, changing it would mean changing the code and recompiling. Not unsurmountable, but not exactly straightforward either.

is this code available to do this? I remember doing something similar years ago with a Troodon panel but I'm not seeing much online about changing this code.
