New Duet 3 6HC - Firmware Issue
-
@Kiwi3D you can either put the board in standalone mode and update that way, i.e. remove the pi connection, pop an SD card with 3.5.2 files in a folder called firmware and send M997
or you can use bossa mode to updater the firmware https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/RepRapFirmware/Updating_firmware#all-other-duet-boards -
Cheers...I understand the concept...but how do I connect to the DWC without the Pi being connected? I don't have an ethernet cable to attach
-
@Kiwi3D you can just connect through YAT and USB, then you don't have the hassle of setting up an SD card and DWC.

@jay_s_uk
Could you kindly point me in the right place for the files I need to put onto the SD Card pleaseCertainly on 3.3 and as you can see I am connected
UPDATE: I found this on the GitHub
Do I just put it in the "firmware" folder on the SD card?
TIA
-
I have placed the BIN files in the "firmware" folder and restarted it. M115 still displays 3.3
-
@Kiwi3D you need to run M997. an update isn't triggered automatically just by the files being present
