Weird "artifacts" on print surface with 3.6.0-alpha builds
-
System info:
Duet Mini 5+ v1.02 (3.6.0-a4), Duet 1LC v1.2a (3.6.0-a4), standalone, 24v, CoreXY, 3-point bed leveling with individual Z steppers.
I thouched on having some weird "ringing-like artifacts" on the surface of prints who had debossed surface text.
But because of the bed leveling bug I wasn't able to test it, before today.
I slapped together a test model in fusion and went to club, and here is the results.
The print is done with pressure advance changing every 10mm in these increments:- 0-10mm = PA: 0.045s.
- 10-20mm = PA: 0.025s.
- 20-30mm = PA. 0.01s.
- 30-40mm = PA: 0.0075s.
- 40-50mm = PA: 0.005s.
- 50-60mm = PA: 0s / off.
(YES I acknowledge that I have to make the "X" &" Y" extend top/bottom, I will fix that for the next test set)
Other machine / print settings:
Input shaping : ZVD @ 40.9Hz & 0.0 damping factor.
Outer wall acceleration : 3000mm/s2.
Inner wall acceleration: 5000mm/s2.
Outer & inner wall jerk: 7mm/s.
Outer wall speed: 120mm/s.
Inner wall speed: 200mm/s.I would like to conlude that somethings not ready for primetime just yet!

@Exerqtor please try again using 3.6.0-alpha.5. There is a bug fix since alpha 4 that may well be relevant.

Im currently testing a new machine which prints faster with a large melt chamber length, and i can corroborate this behaviour is also very present after text.
