      Hey guys,

      I am a 3d printer newbie who got hands on a vcore 3.0 running RRF 2 on a duet3 mini 5+.
The machine hasn't been in use for a long time so thought of bringing it to life. I want to add klipper to it to replace RRF.

      Questions I have are:
-Can I run kilpper directly on the duet board without buying a Rpi to work as the brains? Any good documentations or leads would be great...

-Can I run fluidd or mainsail as the interface and mode of communication with the printer? I want able to find any good documentations on this...so any links would be helpful.

@roshiposhi Sorry, but this forum is for running RepRapFirmware on compatible boards. I suggest the Klipper Discord or Discourse groups are the best place for this. See https://www.klipper3d.org/Contact.html

You will need a Raspberry Pi (or other SBC). You can run whatever interface options Klipper provides.

Alternatively, you can use RRF as is, without having to add anything. The current version of RRF is largely feature-compatible with Klipper. To begin, start here: https://docs.duet3d.com/en/How_to_guides/Getting_connected/Getting_connected_to_your_Duet

If you have any questions about RRF, please feel free to ask here.

@droftarts is right, this forum is primarily RRF related and not Klipper. the Discord is 100% better as there is more information on it.

Just incase its relevant, I have actually set up klipper on a Duet 2 Wifi and have come to the conclusion that there is not much benefit when compared against the newest version of RRF (especially the 3.6 beta)
The ecosystems are basically feature identical, except RRF is much easier to maintain IMO

Duet 3 Mini never ran RRF 2 so you probably run an older version of RRF3.

I know it's not what you ask about, but the unofficial RatRig Discord has an rrf channel with a number of sample RRF configs for ratrig machines. Maybe that's an option as well ....
