I have an M3D Crane Quad with Duet board(s) that i would like to use on a core XY frame that I would like to convert into a 4 extruder tool changing printer. So . . .I think I need at least:-
4x stepper motor controllers for motion control
1x stepper motor control for tool change
4x stepper motor control for extruders
      4x heater control for extruders
      1x bed heater
      5x temp control
Is this doable with the boards I have and perhaps another 1~2 expansion boards, or should I junk that idea and buy new boards? I would like to use the re-purposed boards if poss because: 1) saves waste; 2) I'm tight and it saves me money.

@Kev1n i'm pretty sure that printer came with a Duet Maestro. You can expand it by adding 2 more drivers but thats pretty much it.
Also firmware support for it stopped with 3.5
Best to look at the Duet 3 Mini 5+ or 6HC

Owns various duet boards and is the main wiki maintainer for the Teamgloomy LPC/STM32 port of RRF. Assume I'm running whatever the latest beta/stable build is
