Temperature measurement of stepper stator winding
-
Hi,
I would like to measure the stepper motor temperature by placing an ntc (100k, without a metal case) directly on the stator winding. However, I am unsure if the E/B field of the motor causes a problem for the electronics/measurement.Has anyone tried this yet?

@shirnschall the kraken motors have thermistors embedded in them so I doubt there's any issues. The ones they use are nothing special

Thank you for the reference! After thinking some more about it I think the current in both legs of the ntc should be common mode? I will test it as soon as possible. -
