Duet wifi on the go

Hello forum,

I have the duet connected at home in the wifi and that works well.
But if I'm on the go with the printer there is no wifi available.
How can I connect the duet with my ipad to control the printer?

You have two easy options.

setup the Duet as a WiFi access point:
Configure the Duet's SSID and password using M587

Then use M552 S2 to put it in access point mode (you need to start with WiFi disabled M552 S0).

use a mobile phone in "portable hotspot" mode to create a WiFi network that both the Duet and the iPad can connect to.

To switch between "home wifi" and "on the go" i have to connect with USB to disable wifi (M552 S0) and start accesspoint (M552 S2).
Is there a way to switch it without a USB Connection?

You could do it using a PanelDue, or connect a push button to a spare endstop input and set up a trigger macro using M580.
