Another max 31855 question

I have read all the messages i can fine on adafruit max31855 and i only can fine that its wired to the 50pin connector on the duet wifi
If i connect it to the 50pin as per instructions i get the temp at 2000

I then tried it on the temp daughterboard and it seemed to work correctly is this ok to use.
even though its not a duet add on board? or will it interfere with any thing else?
