RE: Precision Piezo in firmware 3.x
In analog mode the potentiometer on the board has no effect, but you must plug into the A pins on the Orion.
Orion requires pullups to be enabled for digital mode but they must be disabled for analog mode.

RE: How to test board thermistor reading
Thanks What i ended up just trying was changing from the thermistor 2 port to the thermistor 3 port and setting the new pin number in the config no other changes to the config.
and it's working correct temp now, so looks like the input on 2 for the thermistor is bad.
it there a easy way to fix it, or just forget it and go with what i have running now, I don't picture ever needing a 3rd thermistor...

RE: How to test board thermistor reading
I will have to get the config file later but i have not changed anything in the config and it was working fine last time i used this printer..
it's a maestro board
i did have the thermistor disconnected when taking the readings.
I placed a 2 pin connector on the thermistor pin's with wires inserted and tested across the 2 wires .I also tested the two thermistor's while disconnected across the 2 wire's, I forget at the moment what the reading was but they were the same for both thermistor's.

How to test board thermistor reading
I have my bed thermistor hooked to the duet thermistor 1 input , and i am getting a -90 reading
I tried 2 different thermistor's and i am fairly sure both are good..I connected a multi meter to the pin on the board and with power off i was reading around 6.5 K ohm
power on it was 28 K ohm.. on thermistor 1 pins..I connected to thermistor 2 input and was getting 76k ohm power off and 253k ohm power on.
So there is a big difference between the two doe's it sound like input 1 is bad ? or do i need to test in a different way? and is it a easy repair if needed..

Advise on smart effector mount with orbital extruder
Here is a few pic's of a mount i just made, and would like some advice of if it looks doable, i haven't connected or used the smart effector as of yet, but came up with this mount. to use the direct drive..
I seem to have enough clearance for the rods and, the mount isn't hitting any of the solder pads..
and i think it should still have enough flex to trigger probe, but not sure..?Any thoughts

Help with printing an angle that end's up looking like steps
When i print a angled part all the way up it looks like steps instead of a smooth angle..
Like in the pic.its a delta printer petg and .6 nozzle layer height .53 speeds are fairly slow.
It prints ok if i lay it on the side, but i have slots in the bottom and didn't want to use supports..Any suggestions

RE: New heater tuning algorithm
M307 H0 B0 A113.8 C611.3 D0.4 V23.0
I have gone ahead and installed 3.3RC3 and that has seemed to fix it, I tuned the hotend again and it tuned with no errors, used the m307 it suggested and when cooled down i heated it to 240c and no fault error now.
Still a little trouble with the bed tuning gives me a waring message every time and a suggested a m307 value
i enter that in the config and it heats up fine.. so guess i won't worry about it to much..Thanks gary

RE: New heater tuning algorithm
Seeing the subject has been brought up again..
I have just change out my hotend and heater and tried auto tune, always finishes but seems to have errors and gives me the values for the 307 in config, after entering the new values and i turn on the heater to 210 i always get a heater fault not rising fast enough. but from watching the DWC the temp seems to be going up fast.
So returned and this time no error and a new pid value so i enter that and got the same heater faultIf i put just use the default m307 values with no pid values it heats up fine no errors..
also have a pt100 with the duet pt100 board and it a diet2 wifi
this is with firmware 3.2.2 release

RE: Probing G30 Help
Thanks i have tested from P720 to P800 was getting the same results.
I have added the G31 P{sensors.probes[0].value[0] + 8} to my homedelta and that is working fine.
The G32 was done with the bed at 60C and the hotend at 220CI did the G32 and heightmap looks ok I guess
![alt text] (image url)So Should i do a G32 every time before a print,?
And should I do a G29 once and load the map or do that before each print also.?Thanks

RE: Probing G30 Help
Thanks I will try adding in the homeall and see how that go's..
I think that is correct i think it changes the sensitivity level, but not sure and for me right now it's the only way the probe will work, without DWC thinking it is already triggered
When i first load DWC it shows red color in the probe value dro, when i run the macro it changes color and works..
Thanks
