      Hi,

I have just received a Duet WiFi that am planning on using to replace a RUMBA board i am currently using.

I have 3 x Z motor steppers and at present am using 3 x Silencioso drivers in serial -

      https://youprintin3d.de/media/pdf/ba/e7/0f/RRD-User-Guide-Silenciosos_24v_comp2_comp2_comp.pdf
      http://www.reprapdiscount.com/electronics/74-rrd-silencioso-128-microstep-driver-pololu-compatible.html

To drive them, each with its own power supply.

I was going to either wait for a DueX5 or wire up my own break up board so that I could use a seperate driver channel to control the 3 Silencioso's but I have just noticed on the bottom of the Duet Wifi that there appears to be pin outs for each of the existing driver channel pre-driver - looking at the base, there is Z-Step, Z-DIR and Z-EN/CS marked ready to solder a header onto - am I correct in that I can simply solder a 3 pin header on here and connect the Silencioso's directly to it? Looking at the paths on the mini Pololu pseudo board that comes with the Silencioso's, they only require 3 wires to operate?

The alternate is of course to get a DueX5 and run 3 seperate onboard drivers on it and the DuetWiFi to control the but that will require I dont know how long to get the board shipped out and I am looking t get this printer back up and running ASAP (can always swap out later).

      Cheers,

      Ben

Don't connect to the 3-pin pads next to the existing stepper drivers. Those are really only suitable as test points because they connect to the TMC2660 drivers. You can connect your drivers to any of the 5 sets of the step, dir and enable pins on the expansion connector.

No, it looks like the drivers you are using have all that onboard
