I've seen a few threads like this floating around but none seem to match the symptoms I'm having so I'm starting a new one.

I upgraded from 1.19 to 1.21.1, following all upgrade notes and process. It looked like it worked properly, and printed some parts, but about every 3 seconds to a minute DWC no longer receives updates from my printer, but doesn't show a disconnect. Sending gcode manually causes it to finally notice the disconnect, and I am able to reconnect without restarting the printer, sometimes.

I downgraded again to 1.19 and this issue disappeared, going on a half hour with no disconnect. M122 shows no abnormalities in either version, other than a somewhat weak wifi signal (about -65dBm). I can't imagine signal strength is the issue though if 1.19 works perfectly, and I get the strange behavior of DWC not recognizing the disconnect.

I didn't see anything I thought relevant on the troubleshooting page in the wiki. 1.19 is working just fine for me, but I'd like to be able to move on to future updates. Any idea how to go about troubleshooting this?

      Thanks in advance!

I'm seeing frequent disconnects as well. I upgraded from a 1.21 RC (released in April i think) which had zero problems.

I presume you mean that you installed main firmware 2.0 and DWC 1.21.1, because there is no 1.21.1 main firmware for the Duet WiFi.

From these reports, I think there may be a problem with DWC not realising when it has disconnected. You could try downgrading DWC to 1.21.

@dc42 Sorry, i was referring to the web server version, there was a RC version of 1.21 installed when i purchased the board, I upgraded to the latest version of everything yesterday. I'll try downgrading DWC though.
            Thanks

Yes, you're right, I installed DWC 1.21.1 and firmware 2.0. I also said I downgraded, when in fact I had only downgraded DWC and the wifi server. The firmware doesn't seem to want to downgrade, even if I flash an older version, I didn't notice the downgrade didn't stick until I went to install DWC 1.21. In any case, running 2.0 and DWC/server 1.21 seems to be pretty stable.

I'm glad that's working well for you. DurtWiFiServer.bin in the 2.0 release is version 1.21, same as in the 1.21 release. So it's only DuetWebControl that you have downgraded.
