Would it be possible to use a 6 wire motor with the Duet? How would I convert the motor to work with the Duet? Would the current rating change?

A 6-wire motor can be used in either unipolar or bipolar mode. To use it in bipolar mode, leave the two centre tap connections unconnected.

@dc42 , Thanks! I guess the current rating and inductance, etc would stay the same???

The inductance will be 4 times higher in bipolar mode. The rated current will be a little lower, perhaps 71% of the rated current in unipolar mode, perhaps a !ittle higher.
