Cannot upload files in duet wifi

@ngwpower said in Cannot upload files in duet wifi:
Got most of the files operating files Duet Wifi for my CR-10 loaded, with some help got the DuetWebControl-1.21.2-b2 zip file ready to upload and cannot open the Upload files button to function I get "× Settings applied!" as the response. Running MS 10, Help please!
That's an odd fault, it's as if you pressed the Apply Settings button instead of the Upload Files button. I suggest you clear the browser cache, reload DWC, and try again.
-
I tried yesterday and again this AM and as you say it acts as if I applied the upload files button. I made a file ***"Duet WebControl and added the dwc.js.gz and html404 into it. put the sd card back into the duet and I no longer get the error :
Version mismatch
Warning: The version of your HTML and JavaScript files do not match. This can lead to unpredictable behavior and other problems. Please install Duet Web Control once more and clear your browser cache.Thank You sir.
-
Are you saying that you used to get the "version mismatch" error and the problem is now solved; or that you are now getting this version mismatch error?
-
Duet WebControl and added the dwc.js.gz and html404 into it. I had to take this out of the SD card it was presenting more errors. Now I attempt to load the DWC file into upload files and I get the warning mismatch error. I do not know how to work around this error and cannot load the DWC file.
-
Not an engineer, yet want to get this board running. Is there a way to restore a SD card with original files and start over. Am exhausted at all the searching I have done.
-
-
@phaedrux Thank You for the link to the sys files, my sd card is full of other coding.
-
@phaedrux I tried restoring with the sys files on a new faormated card. Could not get into any IP address. Back to the original delima of not being able to load DWC on the original sd card, no matterhow many times I clear the cache. Mayb I need my money back on a defective board?

If you run M552 from USB (or PanelDue if you have one), does it say the network is connected and the IP address?
-
If yes, then what happens when you enter that IP address into the address bar of a browser?
-
-
@dc42 Ran M552 on Pronterface and get >>> m552 [ERROR] Printer is not online. Afew days ago I could see the control panel on htpp..... and was getting the error about no DWC. Yet looking into the sd card in filw www have a json file and that is all.
-
@dc42 I unplugged the power from the AC outlet and hooked up USB and through Pronterface issued the M552 command. Now getting a SENDING:M552 WiFi module is being started. Don't know the G code to check what is running in pronterface, cannot load on IP address.
-
You can manually extract the DWC files into the www for on the SD card. That might get you the DWC to connect to at least.
-
@phaedrux I thank You, explain this extraction process. I do not know what extractor to use I Z-zip and when I use it I get these files in DWC.zip :
Css
Fonts
Js
favicon.ico.gz
html404
language.xml.gz
reprap.htm.gz
And they should go in sys or ww? -
From the link above:
."The /www folder and its subfolders hold the files served by the web server. If you are setting up a new SD card, populate the /www folder by extracting the contents of the DuetWebControl.zip file to it."So yes the contents of the zip file go into the /www folder.
-
Also what version of firmware and DWC were you running previously?
-
@phaedrux Thank You, I need all the adult supervision I can get!
DuetWebControl-1.21.2-b2
Duet2CombinedFirmware.bin
RepRapFirmware-Alligator.bin
DuetDriverFiles -
I don't think you'll need the alligator firmware unless you run an alligator board? Pretty sure you said DuetWifi up above.
So have you taken the SD card, put it in your computer, extracted the DWC zip file into the www/ folder?
-
@phaedrux Yes and now I cannot open WizFi on my Coputer. Been reading other situations and get more confused as I go. Can see in pronterface these commands:

@ngwpower said in Cannot upload files in duet wifi:
RECV: Network state is starting
RECV: WiFi module is disabledThat combination (network stuck in Starting state) if it persists suggests a version mismatch between the main firmware and the WiFi firmware. See https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Installing_and_Updating_Firmware#Section_How_to_recover_if_the_main_firmware_and_WiFi_firmware_versions_get_out_of_step_on_your_Duet_WiFi for how to recover from this.

@dc42 Thank You Sir. Got to this IP screen, could not for the life of me describe this accomplishment, just grateful it has occured and yes I belive in a higher power! Will proceed with details.
