Cartessian U drive/endstop Homing Issues
-
David, Problem solved! I have found that the unused but still plugged in Z max endstop did have 24volts across the signal wire and the ground, but unfortunately they were inverted. The endstop ground was wired to the signal wire on the board and the endstop signal wire was wired to the ground. I have since swapped the wires and I am now able to home and trigger 2 endstops simultaneously. Thank you David for your assistance. I will continue on to the next step of setting up the printer.

Does the endstop LED on that input still work?

David, luckily yes. The only questionable thing for my limited knowledge is that the EO and EI endstops show a yes in the DWC for an endstop hit. The other endstops say no. However, when I trigger the other endstops, they all show yes in the DWC machine properties tab. The lights on the endstop and the board light up when triggered as they should. Not sure why the DWC registers as yes for EO and E1?? Both of them light up appropriately as well. Any thoughts??

David, I have found another forum member that has posted the table from the DWC and it shows the exact view I am seeing from the web page, machine properties. I will provide a link. https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/6261/cannot-understand-web-page-for-machine-properties

Any endstops that are not configured for use with visible axes using M574 are assumed to be active high in the Machine Properties report. This means that they show as triggered when nothing is connected to them (LED off), and as not triggered if the outer 2 pins of the connector are shorted together (LED on).
