Pressure advance causes short-to-ground on driver 3
-
Yes, I'm sure there isn't a physical short.
The error appears whenever M572 D0 S0.1 is sent through web control, slicer, or config.g, and never appears otherwise. With pressure advance on, the extruder motor does not move at all through slicer gcode or web control, but other functions appear unimpeded.
I replaced all config files with a fresh set made from RepRap Configurator last night, and it's having the exact same issue. Really don't know what could be going wrong at this point.
The start g-code on my slicer (PE Slic3r) only has a home all and lift nozzle command, and my current config.g is listed below:

@lyze I'm not sure but I have a feeling that I read something about this happening with a certain version of DWC (due web control). Might be worth upgrading to the latest version of that. Also, are you using the latest firmware version?
-
You should update the firmware, this is something that happens with the maestro in StealthChop mode, the latest FW implements a hybrid approach, switching to spreadcycle at higher speeds.
Alternatively if you need stealthchop in your extruder you could try following the recommendations here.
It happened to me once operating only in stealthChop in the extruder also, will see if the recommendations are enough to avoid this ever happening again. -
As @genghisnico13 says, please update the firmware (to version 2.02RC2). In older firmwares, false short-to-ground indications are commonplace when using stealthchop mode at high speeds.
