      My slicer is configured to z-hop for travels, but before it raises, it sits in place for .25-.5 seconds, then lifts, travels, lowers, than pauses .25-.5 seconds again. This is ruining my intricate prints.

        What is your Z axis speed, jerk, acceleration settings?

          My guess is that it is retracting and unretracting during those pauses. Perhaps your retraction speed, maximum extruder speed, or extruder acceleration is set too low?

            @dc42 ahhh, that would probably be it! I forgot, my retractions all finish prior to the wipe move, so it's not that.

            @Phaedrux I did increase accel and jerk for E and that seems to have helped quite a bit.
