I'm trying to better set the mesh grid using a BL-touch on my Taz6 printer and I have a question...

In the M557 command you define the mesh grid but are these points for the position of the sensor or the position of the extruder nozzle? I just didn't know if these points take into account the offset settings entered in the G31 line above it in the config.g file or not.

Here are those lines from my config.g

      G31 P500 X-28 Y33 Z3.37 ; Set Z probe trigger value, offset and trigger height
      M557 X20:260 Y20:260 S40 ; Define mesh grid

      Thanks for your assistance.

        Hi,

I believe you are specifying the X and Y values of the points to probe.

The offset value in G31 takes care of positioning the probe at those points.

Thanks. Hopefully it works well next time I attempt a new mesh level.
