fried board i think?
-
i accidentally jumped the pin 1 and 2 more than once and now i only get the blue light and when i plug in the micro usb the lights come on but nothing works
-
Pins 1 and 2 of which connector? Which type of Duet?
-
@dc42 the duet wifi on expantion

If you shorted pins 1 and 2 that's 5V to ground. I guess the 5V buck regulator or one of the surrounding components has failed. That component or components can be replaced, but it's odd that nothing works when you provide USB power. Does the green light come on with USB power? If so then I suggest you try erasing the firmware and seeing whether the Bossa port appears on your PC.

All of the lights (lights are dim but blue light is brighter then the rest) but the wifi light comes on and my panel dosent turn on when I have it pluged in to the board but some time it will come on but the screen is flashing but them pluged in to usb it is fine. Will try erasing when i get home

i tryed erasing the board it didnt help and this it the lights i get -
I guess that when the short was removed it generated a transient on +5V and that has damaged at least the processor and 5V regulator. Does the processor get hot? Do any other components get hot?
-
None of the component get hot
-
I guess the processor is damaged then. It's possible to replace it, but not easy. If the processor was damaged by being fed more than 3.3V, then it's likely that the WiFi module is too.
