External Trigger

I have added an external trigger to use E3 home to trigger a pause via the M581 E3 T1 S0 C0 command. This works fine when I trigger the switch. However if I hit resume with the switch still broken it will resume. And will not pause again till the switch is made then broken.
My thought is that I need an M582 T1 but I still see the same results. Does anyone have any suggestions?

M582 T1 in your resume.g file might work, I'm not sure.
