      so after jumping from my marlin 8bit board, i have to say im very happy so far, printer is so quiet and smooth now , doing my first print now :}

          @richard-f Wellcome to the club! I'm a huge fan too - have been since the 06 board many years ago. It's not often the Duet team get that sort of feedback. In general, people are quick to criticise but slow to praise so I'm sure they appreciate it.

            @deckingman Thanks. The team has been very helpful i could not ask for more, and credit where credit is due. on the bad note i think i got a clone board, said it was genuine on ad. in future I will buy directly from duet3d and support local businesses

              Well, yes. You might pay a little more for a genuine one but you get this support as part of the package. If everyone bought clones, Duet3D would be out of business and then where will people turn to for support? - the clone makers won't be able to help.

              Also, David (DC42) is one of the Duet team and gets a share of the profits which enables to him to devote a great deal (if not all) of his time to continuously improving the firmware that is also part of the package. That's something else the clone makers don't have to pay for, and if Duet3D go out of business, then firmware support and improvement will also stop.
