    • Where is this moire coming from?

I've been slowly getting my printer dialed in and it's printing pretty well now, Just trying to eek out the final 10%.
I printed this model in vase mode 100micron layer height, and I can see some kind of pattern on it. I can't really feel it with my fingers but under the right light you can clearly see it. My printer is a D-bot corexy machine with 1.8 degree stepper for xyz and extruder. I have everything set to 64 microstepping currently. I am using a titan extruder in direct drive.

you can see a circular type of moire on the rounded corners of the vase and some smaller moire in other places. Ignore the small horizontal lines, I think my reel has a small kink in it and possible causes some uneven extrusions along those lines.

Any hints would be helpful, thanks!

    • RE: BLTouch working

Are you on duet 0.8.5 or duet wifi? I have BLTouch wired up with my wifi working well.
it's mostly the same instruction that W3DRK but the expansion header is not the same on the wifi so you would have to use pin 8 for Heater 3 pwm output instead.
      see documentation here : https://duet3d.com/wiki/Duet_WiFi_wiring_diagrams

    • RE: Automatic calibcration results - is it as bad as it looks?!

if the entire bed is above the z = 0 on the graph then it means your z=0 is wrong,
try doing a G30 first to set the zero correctly then it should bring the whole plane down

    • RE: Why am I having to run with an extrusion multiplier of 60%?

I am having similar issues with my corexy machine as well with titan. using the e3d recommended steps per mm i have to reduce the extrusion multiplier to 84% for 200micron layer height to not over extrude like crazy. When I was using just a regular bowden extruder the steps per mm was spot on and i had no issue with leaving extrusion multiplier at 100%. This is all with simplify3d as slicer.

    • RE: Issue with pwm fan output

sooo, pretty sure i burnt out something during the initial install. IIf i disable thermostatic fan control for FAN1, it works as expected on that output in pwm mode, but FAN0 is busted. with it set to S0 it still outputs 24V. looks like the part that failed is labeled TR5 near the FAN0 header, it has a small black spot on it that the other mosfet controller FAN1 and FAN2 doesn't have :(, and during initial setup I somehow had something shorted while trying to get the fan working and heard a spark. Opps, ordering the part from digikey to replace 🙂

    • Issue with pwm fan output

I am using these 24v 40mm fans for my print cooling, and it doesn't seem to be behaving as expected with the M106 command
      (fans are these http://www.alliedelec.com/sunon-fans-mb40202vx-000u-a99/70226240/

When I plug the fan into the always on pin, it spins at full speed as expected, when plugging into the PWM output FAN0, even when fan speed is set to 0% it still spins (very weakly), and doesn't seem to vary at all when adjusting the fan speed to 100%. I am guessing my config.g is incorrect in configuring the fan output but I can't figure out why.

in my config.g code, i have
      M106 P0 S0.3 I0 F500 H-1

is there anything I need to do to get pwm working? or is this fan somehow not compatible with the PWM output?

      Thanks!
