    • Nozzle wipe during print

      hey all!

Today I finished installing my Duet3D WiFi, and there is something that caught my eye.

With my old CR10s Motherboard while printing, I used nozzle wipe in Simplify3D without any problems.
(I use 1mm of nozzle wipe every layer on the outer wall) but now with the Duet3D motherboard, it wipes the nozzle at Slow Motion speeds... all other speeds are as normal printing goes very well, except the nozzle wipe during printing.

Anyone who has a clue how this can happen?

I think that it has something to do with the extruder.
The Z rods are nearly perfect. I double checked it multiple times.

      • The printer is a little bit modified, original it was a CR10S.

      • I use the ordinary lead screws that come with the CR10S, 8mm. (already replaced the original ones with better ones)(The old were not straight).

      • I have done PID Tuning, Temperature is rock solid.

      • I have literally no idea if the speed or jerk settings are oke

      • Layer height is always 0.2 or 0.15

      • Dual Z-axis moves pretty smooth, I have installed anti-backlash nuts.

      • See photo for the arrangement.

Question, can anyone scan through my printer config file for any weird settings? I have the CR10S.

    • Reoccuring Lines and even gaps in print.

Hi, Can anyone please tell me what this is causing?

I recently fixed my Z axis Leadscrews and installed antibacklash nuts, Because I thought this was the problem.

Now I'm starting to think its an extruded problem, but it makes no sense because normally under extrusion happens randomly when the printer decides when it feels under exstrudy. but this seems not random it is reoccurring every 8 layers or so.

      yeah, I'm sure.

of course, it deviates a little bit but the variables are almost the same every time.
it is reoccurring in the way I described it. really strange to be honest.

Same occurs when I try to level the nozzle to the bed with a piece of paper, in steps of 0.05mm down until it makes contact with the paper. but when I go up, it takes more 0.05mm steps up, then what it did while going down.

      Down
      0.00mm - no contact
      -0.05mm - contact

      Up
      -0.05mm - contact
      0.00 - contact
      0.05mm - still contact
0.10mm - no more contact with the paper

      that's also occurring

      hi,

The bed is off, and probe speed is super slow, tried those already.

could it be that it has something to do with Zrods that are not straight?
or something else? maybe stepper motors not accurate enough?
