Ah, thanks a lot. It is a research project so hopefully not too many people are doing this...
I am amazed and super happy there is an inversion option if I wanted to power any of it off the board tbh!
Hi, I am running a separately powered peltier bed system with the duet wifi to get down to -10 to -30 C, when the bedtemp hits -5C I immediately get -273C showing open circuit.
I have tried many different thermistor types and wiring and checked the disconnected thermistors are giving the correct resistance and not shorting at these low temps, and it always fails at -5.0C exactly, so am thinking this might be a hard minimum setting somewhere but am having no luck finding it.
thanks for any help and merry christmas
Don't worry I just got the OK to get another. To be honest I have really been putting these boards through their paces with different things and have already had one replaced, and a lot of the time the duet is the only thing that has worked so happy to buy another. cheers!
oh dear! thanks for the info. does that mean I have invalidated the warranty?
thanks for quick reply
I was yes, but have tried it without, and some cards as well which work with the other boards. The board has only been turned on and done basic moves and switch checks a while ago, now everything else has been built around it I started setup proper and same issue. With the other board it occurred during operation and I think this might have always been like this but could be wrong.
I can double check everything but am away from the lab atm
Hi,
unfortunately another board has developed a similar fault not reading any sd cards, the same as in https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/10603/sd-card-slot-failed-on-duet-wifi/2
is it ok to get a confirmation to return
thanks a lot
ok thanks, would you say it needs returning then?
@dc42 said in sd card slot failed on Duet wifi?:

no card shows in the platform section using M122 diagnostics
Do you mean that it reports "SD card 0 not detected" ? If so, that probably means that the Card Detect pin on the SD card socket isn't soldered down well enough. Unless you are very confident of your fine-pitch component soldering skills, please ask your supplier to replace the Duet.
Actually, apologies it does say sd card 0 detected
