@Veti This seems promising, I will go through it. As it happens, I have an Ender 3 as well, which has been humming along perfectly.

@theruttmeister I did not know that it was common to not use endstops. I will give that some thought.

Please help with configuring my Duet2 wifi for my upraded A8 (Metal frame, v6 hotend, BMG extruder). I have found learning and dealing with the documentation extraordinarily frustrating, as it seems to be designed to be surgically devoid of context, overly reliant on specific references where general ones would be far more helpful (and are often outdated or no longer valid) and near absence of helpful common examples. Nearly impossible to read. I have not had these problems with other 3d firmware. And I easily assembled my printer and figured out what I wanted/needed to change. I cannot decipher the interplay between z-stop and end stops in the documentation. I have the standard microswitches that the A8 came with. I had trouble getting the ABL working (3d Touch), despite wiring that I am confident I followed instructions.

I do not wish to sound ungrateful. The effort and expertise that went into designing this system is obvious. I only wish to suggest that documentation could be much more helpful to the user.
