Hi everyone,
I'm relatively new to using the Duet 2 WiFi board and loving the level of control it offers compared to my previous setup. However, I’m struggling a bit with fine-tuning the PID settings for both my heated bed and nozzle.
The heated bed is a 300x300 aluminum plate with a 24V silicone heater, and the hotend is a Volcano clone with a 0.4mm nozzle. The default PID values from the autotune process seem to work, but I notice some oscillation around the target temperatures, especially when I start printing at higher speeds.
Are there any recommended tweaks or strategies to manually adjust the PID values beyond what autotune provides?
Should I be running separate PID tuning at different temperature ranges (e.g., 60°C for PLA vs. 100°C for ABS on the bed)?
Any general tips for avoiding temperature fluctuations during long prints?
I’ve already ensured the wiring is secure, and the thermistors are correctly configured in the firmware. I’d love to hear how more experienced users approach this!
Thanks in advance for your insights.
Cheers
