Hello,
Would you please advice if my Duet 2 Wifi Driver on Z axis has burned (i did experiment with a 1.2ohm resistance motor on it), could i just buy a TMC2660C-PA chip from Mouser and change it myself? In other words, once a new chip gets soldered properly in its place, is the board going to work ok, or are there other pre-programming requirements on the chip? (i do not think so, but the spec sheet of the TMC is way to long to read it in detail...).
I am asking because i already did this, but replaced it with a TMC2660C-PA purchased from a Chinese site that claims to sell only 'original' chips. I checked carefully all pins to conduct to their traces below, and no pins to short circuit to their neighbors. Now the Z motor does not rotates, only vibrates. It looks like one phase does not get any significant current. I tested only one phase connected at a time. (changed circuits only when power was off). The two phases sound very differently. One is producing strong vibrations, the other one only a hum noise when the other phase is disconnected.
