@dc42 That's fantastic.
Thanks so much for your hard work.
I'll keep the RGBWs in just in case the initial release of the RGBW stuff happens sometime soon.
Thanks again.

Just to update : addressing seems to sort of work, intensity adjustment works fine -- the RGB values are just all over the place.
Set all to R255, , LEDs are red/green/blue alternating down the line.
However, they start and stop at the right points along the strip, so addressing is there halfway.
Hi there,
Installed RGBW NeoPixel strip on a 6HC before realizing that RGBW support isn't available yet.
They work -- in a way. M150 lights them up in alternating colors from LED to LED and without RGB support. Light intensity works fine.
Is there any kind of hacky way I can get the dotstar/neopixel header working for this? I hadn't realized that only RGB support seems to be in place.
Worst case I can move it to my SBC -- but i'd love to be able to use the M150 gcode without deferring it to the SBC.
Thanks
oh okay.
Thanks for your time and diagnostics. I'll get that started ASAP.
I will reflash firmware with Bossa when I awake in a few hours.
Any tips or tricks in the mean time are appreciated.
picture of booted via usb. Never any problems booting over USB voltage. Notice the active ethernet port.
EXT_RESET still puts out 0.2vdc while booted up via USB.
@dc42 said in duet 3 unresponsive on VIN:
If you have a multimeter, try measuring the voltage between the two pins of the EXT_RESET connector. It should be 3.3V.
those two pins, when it's in the dim LED mode, are putting out 0.2vdc for me. I haven't tested it when booted.
@dc42 I didn't notice any strange feeling mechanically. Seemed fine to me, but system came up after playing with it while off.
Probably just coincidence, if I keep power cycling it seems I get a successful boot about 40% of the time.
I've also yet to experience an unsuccessful boot via USB power.. so that leads me to believe the switch itself is fine.
@dc42 said in duet 3 unresponsive on VIN:
IMO it's worth erasing the firmware and reinstalling it using Bossa to see if that fixes it, especially if it was running pre-release firmware.
OK, will do. I have tried flashing the firmware with DWC successfully, but with no avail to the problem. is a Bossa reflash more thorough?
@dc42 That's interesting. I powered off right now and tapped the reset key a few times; when I powered back on it came on no problem -- might I be experiencing a sticky reset button somehow?
Powered the machine off and back on the proceed with further configuration and ran into the unresponsive situation again. Here are some photos.
The LED photo is hard to read, all 4 LEDs up top are lit, no USB LED, and a dim DIAG led.
24v PSU with V+ going from 2 terminals to VIN & Out0 IN, 2 wires from V- going to GND and Out0 IN GND.
Will do.
I went back to the machine and flicked the power on and it established a connection to ethernet no problem..
as I have a feeling this problem is going to be intermittent, i'll snap some pictures. Going to have to wait til the next failure for a snap of the LEDs.
Hi,
When supplied with 24v from power supply Duet3 6HC seems non-responsive. All voltage LED indicators are solid, but no ethernet connection is established.
When VIN 24v is turned off and the Duet3 6HC is powered over USB I get the two lower voltage lights steady, but an ethernet connection is established immediately and DWC comes online.
What can I check?
Thanks
