RE: Adding 4 Low amp stepper motors to Duet3d 6HC
Quick follow-up question. If I get the wifi version of mini 5+ will that allow me to use wifi on my printer or is wifi disabled when it is acting as an expansion board?

Thanks.
I didn't know the mini 5+ could be used as an expansion board. I just did a couple of searches and don't see info on connecting mini 5+ as expansion board to 6HC.Do you know where I can find it?

Adding 4 Low amp stepper motors to Duet3d 6HC
I have built a custom 3d printer using the Duet 6HC. It is working well but I need to add 4 low amp nema 17 stepper motors. I have already used all 6 of the 6HC on board stepper connections. I assume the only way forward is to purchase expansion boards to drive my 4 new stepper motors.
From my research it seems that my options are:- Add 2 x 3HC boards. @ $155 each Total: $310
- Add 4 x 1HCL @ $89 each Total: $356
- Add 4 x 1LC @ $55 each Total: $220 (Will this work? I only see can bus in but no can bus out)
- Is this possible: Add 2 mini 2+ @ $28 each Total: $56 (mini 2+ doesn't have a can bus so I don't know if I can use it)
Option 4 would be by far most cost effective and makes the most sense utilizing 2 low amp stepper drivers on each board, but I don't know if they are compatible with my 6HC. And if they are compatible, how they would interface with 6HC.
Are there any other options?
Thank you for your help.
