Hi David,
The Duet 3 expansion board doesn't appear to have any logic level connections for step and dir outputs. Are you referring to a different board?

What is the current state of the expansion boards for external motor drivers? I am considering using a Duet board to drive external closed loop steppers or BLDC motors. I have read a few forum postings that talked about CAN expansion boards driving external closed loop motors via Step and Dir TTL outputs and 3rd party boards connected via CAN. IIRC David Crocker mentioned something about a closed loop solution on the Duet directly.

I am planning a multipurpose CoreXY machine with a tool changer and would like to understand what is available now.
