Good question! You might get a "Attempt to extrude with no tool selected" message. If so, I can fix that.

That's a good question! I don't think there is any existing GCode command to retrieve the number of the current coordinate system. I already changed the network status response and the M408 S2 command to include the current coordinate system number in the response, and that change will be in the next beta firmware release.
