Possible increase possible 441 points for bed mesh compensation?

Hello, I am new to the forums and I am trying to build a printer with a very large bed (~4x8 ft). I am using the Duet Wifi 2 with the 2.04RC1 RepRap firmware. Everything is working fine with the large bed I just need more resolution in my height map so the nozzle can interpolate better. Would this be possible? Thank You!

Currently the memory for the height map is statically allocated, so I can't increase it without possibly making some users with complex configurations short of memory. I'll look at making it dynamic in RRF3.

If you need this many probe points, you need a better bed surface to start.
Is this still a thermoplastic FDM 3d printer?
If yes, how uneven is your current build plate? What nozzle/layer height are you using? with 441 points you would still get a probe point every 5.5x11cm.
If you´re not using giant nozzles that have a higher layer height to begin with (that is tolerant toward a more uneven surface) how long are your print times?
If you´re not building a large 3d printer with a minimum of good components like a more or less flat build plate, how are you expecting good results? -
@nitrofreak I realize I need to improve my print surface. I did not know if there was an easy way to increase the points as I improve my build. Right now I am only printing with a 1 mm nozzle , but I have a 300 W heater that can use 2.75 mm nozzles, I am going to switch soon. What layer height would you recommend for a 2.75 mm nozzle diameter?

Depending on the resolution i would recommend a 1.4mm layer height.
I have some experience printing with a 2.5mm nozzle. i printed that with a 0.35mm layer height, primarily for a stronger layer bonding. Works really well.
With a 1.4mm layer height you have a lot more room for first layer height error.
